Your parents are the mountains you stand on, and the weight you’re crushed by.
A man stands on the psychological inheritance of his parents. Perhaps he grew up with some poverty, perhaps not. But, if his father before him reached the 6 to 7 figures, guess what, that is inscribed into his sons destiny.
Which is why, the argument for Rich parents is an important one. No, not all kids who grow up to be rich, come from rich parents.
BUT Here’s the kicker, we thrive on the benefits and work our parents do before us.
The mental advancement our parents have, is where we start off… And when they die, we’re perhaps given money, but we’re transmitted the continuity of their personal advancement in addition to their own.
When my father died, not only did I have my own demons and struggles to contend with. But suddenly I had his angels and demons to deal with. So if we have no prior mental work done; that unspoken weight we must deal with suddenly becomes a crushing mountain.
I’ve been absolutely crushed these last 2 years. But I refuse to stay down.
And while I have anhedonia, the inability to feel, no impulse, no guidance… the inner Jedi Training I received during my 20’s is what will help me to not only climb the mountain, but lift it up and bend it to my will.
But first, one must go through growth.
