Freedom comes from process

We’re all tied to this notion of money. We want it for what it gives us, what we hope it will give us, what we hope those things will allow us to have…

But, 99.9 % of our time, money isn’t what we’re focussed on.

We focus on relationships, the ups and the downs.

We focus on things and people we desire.

We focus on comparing ourselves.

And then we come back to the reality of life.

We spend, most of our life, not spending the money we have, but earning it, and then when we have it, we spend our time figuring out how to keep it or earn some more.

The one thing I haven’t said is that, we spend 99.9 % of our time in our process. We either love our process, or hate our process, either way, that’s where we spend our time.

It’s the process that creates results, that creates value, either for a boss or for our clients.

People say they want money, I don’t believe this. It’s a lie. A misguided collective lie.

We don’t want money, we want energy, we want to be fulfilled by our process. And if we can get paid for what we do, it’s a bonus.

But what people really want, is the ability to enjoy what they do, and have the recognition they need (by aligning with something they know is the right thing for them.).

People get miserable, when they do for money, but hate the process.

Grind will damage more than enjoyable process…

Figure your stuff out, the world needs you…

Hey there. I just wanted to tune in to tell you. The society you’ve built is an absolute piece of shit and its boring. Everyone’s a specialist, everyone is serious. Men are dull buffoons, and women think they need to be dolls – because they have no imagination left in them after all the brainwashing of going through academia to prove they’re ‘good little lambs’ to their parents and teachers.

There’s this notion that we can only succeed in life if, and if we decide to give up sex become monks, develop the discipline of Bruce Lee, and never speak to women.

How about we stopped this retarded grind?

In the last 10 years, I’ve produced art, I’ve produced 4 books, I’ve written a tremendous amount of articles, a newsletter, learned full stack development, I built 2 brands, then a consulting business from scratch.

There’s this notion that if you transmute your sexual urge, you’ll never been creative. Here’s the thing, some of my best work was done when I was off my nut in lala land after having something like 5 orgasms…

The thing is, we’re living in a world where sex has become sin, having money has become law, women have become the enemy, men have decided to become jacked stoics and the next generation don’t date anymore. Like, you guys aren’t doing it right..

How about we embrace a world full of inclusion and diversity, and I don’t mean the multicoloured clown flag because even its members don’t aspire to it… No, I mean, how about we all embrace a bit of empathy and comprehension, that our next door neighbour could actually be struggling. How about, perhaps the person who doesn’t talk is scared shitless about the entire internet deplatforming him for ‘saying the wrong thing at the wrong time’.

I don’t aspire to the world we live in, in fact, I aspire more to the people who live in the margins than the people living at the center of the media… I mean you guys made Hawk Tuah famous, think about that for a second..

There’s this need that we have to be bloody perfect, how about relax the fuck up and start living your lives outside of Zuckerbergs virtual prison.

We can’t swear anymore in comments, we can’t say anything that could potentially offend people, as a society we’ve become soft… No one can take a comment anymore. We used to slap each other and call each others homo’s and niggers just for fun back in the day. Your best friend was your bitch sometimes… And we’d banter each other till the cows would come home.

Now… Everyone’s afraid of saying anything teenytinyweenywhiny out of place. Next step, say the wrong thing and Meta will have you escorted into an Amazon van and taken to the back of his Ai lab for Lama GPT to prod your brain with Elons Neuralink like a fucking monkey, then tossed into a bloody pod for societies ‘safety’…

Perhaps, it’s time we came back to being human, instead of trying to be some form of bloody cyborgs doing pushups like buffons in Bali eating nothing but coconut scum and rain water from the night before.

I’m starting to suspect that, all of you like being coerced and told how you should conduct yourselves. It’s like you need some authority to guide you because you can’t think for yourselves.

Wouldn’t the world be better if you could figure out how to be absolutely financially sustainable and could do and say what you wanted? Nothing we used to say mattered. In fact, most of the people we called homo’s became great fathers later on. Except the odd one who decided to move to that part of town…

Anyways, I just wanted to pop up and tell you all that you’re like sheep jumping through hoops doing what you’re told and abiding by ‘conditions’ that work for some but not for all. Figure your shit out, the world needs you…

Random response to posts that I did’t post (1)

Well, we see in the world what we see in the world. If women are boring, you must be boring on an emotional level… Because, we all have masculine and feminine sides to us. So, if you’re seeing boring women at 90%, then the only women you think are interesting are the 10% who have ‘anything in common’ to you. Which means you’re functioning in the world from a place of self-centeredness. Because if we’re only interested in people who fit a specific criteria, then we must be pretty boring as a result of not being able to find interest in the ‘unknown area’ we’re unable to pull into the conversation.

Being a ‘boring jack’ from ‘all work and no play’ makes people monotone and uninterested, because they are uninteresting.

If however, you find that all women are interesting, when you reach the place on the map [name whatever thing you define as success], then, you’re probably rather interesting on an emotional level (your inner feminine).

Point of view from 19/10/24 – ‘Felt ok proportional to my current mindset, might edit later… if my mindset evolves’

Women can’t write

…and neither can men.

Taken to its absolute extreme, no one knows how to write. They spend their time simply regurgitating other peoples ideas. At the very least most people have a few original ideas, it still doesn’t mean they can write.

Is this true? As we enter a world of increasingly AI written work, the original thinker who comes up with novel and worthy ideas will become more and more important. Personal authenticity and character will shine through peoples work. And the astute and disciplined wordsmith will be asked for.

Often, I find a great book, hope to read it, and then when the time comes to dig in, to my dismay, I find its been written by some bot using ai.

I often say that chatGPT is like NZT, the smarter you are the better the results.

Here’s the thing, people focus on automation, and leave it at that. They think that its smart to leave work up to a machine to get money and go off. And in a way it is. But WORK, is not what makes you money. Work is what evolves your soul and turns it on. Work shouldn’t be related to money. I think service should be related to money. But Work, should be related to the advancement of our soul and personal state, so that we can share this with other people.

And so long as we have the disdain for work, because we relate it to things we dislike doing, we will want to outsource it to machines or some person trying to get by and put 3 beans on the table on the other side of the world.

Mainly we’ve been taught that working is bad, or our experience of Work has been bad. As a result of growing up in a brain-dead world with people who don’t think, but simply repeated what had been enforced upon them by angry nuns with rulers whacking peoples fingers until they learned the importance of writing properly.

No wonder our poor parents were so deluded. They grew up in a society full of authoritarian morons. Thankfully, as time goes by, these biased ways are watered down.

(-Funny, right now I can see my disdain for authority proportional to my inner trauma to my higher power, so I can see my writing is aiming or projecting and finding ways to express its discontent towards people in positions of authority who did wrong. The truth is, I have a trauma and am discontent with my inner authority and it mirrors in the way I think and express myself in examples… hmm… food for thought. –)

I believe that, we’re living in a world where many wrong people have had a lot of power. Because money tends to navigate towards positions of extremity, in good or bad, never neutral (due to its lack of momentum), so people, and society at large tends to become absolutely out of whack in relation to the power dynamics of energy. (More energy attracts more momentum, a larger magnet attracts more metal…)

The dumber you are, the more you’ll attract, its absolutely wild -because there are more dumb people than there are smart ones… Think of it in terms of metal and magnet.

If like attracts like, then the lighter pieces of metal will be attracted to someone with higher levels of energy but lower levels of intellect. The high thinkers will be attracted to someone who has allocated a lot of energy to high frequency thinking. So, if we look at the grand scale of the world, we’ll observe by default the larger number of people flocking towards the dumbest possible entities – ‘catch me outside‘, ‘Cardi B’, etc. When scum is valued, the higher number will support it simply proportional to the frequency it emits.

Which is why we live in a depraved society where women are valued on Onlyfans and sex is rampant everywhere. And thinkers are fewer and get less money.

You simply don’t get news articles, spewing hype to the masses about how the lone writter is making millions because he’s writing something valuable in english…

And the value of our ability to think and write, depends on our ability to control how we feel, where we focus our attention, how we live our lives. If controlling ourselves is difficult because the energetic momentum of an entire lifetime makes the sheer scaling of our mountain impossible or super hard, guess whats going to happen? People are going to use the law of attraction and slide all the way down into the ‘masses’ where everyone else is living. But only dead fish go with the flow of what is being dictated by their emotions.

My entire life I’ve rebuted this. I followed my emotions, I followed what felt right. And fair enough, it was nice, but also a bit of a rollercoaster if I didn’t know. Though, the sheer internal shift I’ve experienced as of late, is that I’ve augmented the logical side within me, so its no longer a question of letting life happen and going with the flow, but being clear about the intent with which we aspire to achieve things.

If we didn’t develop our ability to think in the last years, right now is not the time to learn, or at the least it will be a struggle. Because the emotional tendencies seem to have shifted. I don’t say this for myself – even if that is true on a personal level – once we become conscious of something internally, it’s rather difficult to not see it externally… So, this grants me the ability to see parallels in the world around.

The passion we experience for what is true, what is right, what is correct, is what we should aspire to. Despite all indication of how we feel personally. – I absolutely hate what I just wrote, because it applies to me to. It indicates to me that I have to go through an asbolute hell. And if I don’t apply this to myself, I’ll see myself as a hypocrit

This same notion of truth is also a standard I hold for myself. If I am to respect myself as a writer, to simply spew ai generated rubble into the world around me would be the equivalent of saving up all my used plastic bottles and then walking to the ocean and just dumping it with no care at all for anything. The fish be damned.

I don’t agree with that. The automated life, or the easy life is … once again up for grabs, and everything about me rebutes it. My body, of course wants to have the ease of wrong habits. My mind and consciousness though, would rather go through absolute hell if it means reaching being in the heavenly free state once more.

Your Hardwork is the safety net that prevents you from Devolving.

The work you do during the quiet times prepares you for when you go through something.

Your hard work is the reason you don’t fall back to the state of an incapable infant.

Every time you work hard towards an outcome, you evolve. You break through a limitation. That limitation allows you to percieve, to be, to function at a higher level.

Every time you evolve, and you break through your glass ceiling, you reach a new checkpoint. That check point is pretty much a save point – just like in video games – where you can put down your bag, reestablish your path and ressource for a moment before deciding to head up the mountain again.

All of the frameworks, the understandings, the ways you overcame challenges, they all become part of the structure of how you overcome an issue that presents itself to you.

An example of this is; at the start of the year (2024), I hit my glass ceiling and went into a wall. I spiralled out of control -where I tend to spend most of my time – and started to devolve towards where I was at the start of my 20’s. BUT, and this is an important one, because of all the hardwork I had put in overcoming the trouble I went through at the start of my 20’s, instead of struggling with the troubles for 6 years, as I did before. I knew the specific doors to take, the right shortcuts, and the right paths to take to overcome my trouble. In fact, overcoming my issue became like a game, because rather than being overtaken and overwhelmed by what I was experiencing, instead I had the right questions, the right frameworks, and the right understandings to navigate the trauma I went through.

Instead of going back to my previous state of feeling entirely hopeless in the face of what I was going through, I simply rested upon the frameworks that I had built overtime. Yes, the last few months have been painful. BUT, I didn’t fall back down to the bottom of the mountain. And that’s all that counts. Because, I’m going upwards, not down.

That’s all for now!

Force vs Inspiration.

So often, we’re told we’re bad because we’re not ‘succeeding’ but what if holding ourselves back wasn’t a form of failure, but a form of success in the face of something others can’t see?

When we feel like shit, its because the thoughts we are thinking feel like shit. And the thoughts going on inside our heads are what create the feelings we have. And the feelings we experience are either good or bad.

And WAAAY too often, we hear people saying “You just have to push through the pain and the fear to succeed.” But we really don’t. Our emotions are guiding forces. And if you Force your way to get what you want, you’ll do that in every area of your life. A forced life vs an inspired life…

When we hold ourselves back, it’s most probably because the dreams/visions going on inside our heads, that we’re unconscious of are so negative, that we don’t want to go towards them. We don’t know how to undo them, so we just figure that preventing ourselves from taking action is the next best thing.

If the thoughts in our heads are positive, and we love where we are going and what we are consuming, the next logical step is that we are inspired. And when we are inspired, the next step is to be excited about the direction we’re going in.

I’d rather someone hold themselves back from taking action if their heads are full of shit, because it means they will reach a degree of success and spew Bullshit for everyone to aspire to.

I’d very much rather listen to someone who succeeds via the inspiration process, simply because they listen to their inner guiding forces and inspired themselves towards what they want to do. That inspiration, leads to an exciting, and enjoyable life.

  • fill mind up
  • saturate in that area
  • have an inspired idea
  • act upon it
  • repeat

Be sure to choose the subject you want to focus on.

All the best,

The right way, or the optimal way

What if we didn’t do things the “Right way”, but instead, did things the most optimal way?

Our body doesn’t come with an instruction manual. Oh but wait it does. Only, no one has taught us about it… (I’ll come back to this in a moment).

I’ve been thinking, I haven’t been very present on my blog in the last year. I do appologize. I’ve been working hard to aclimate myself to the new dynamics of my life. Having lost my father last April, my personal dynamic has been out of whack.

Not only that, I’ve been pretty lost, because I spend the better part of 2023 learning Programming languages. I’ve been lost, because when you do something you’re not supposed to be doing, you end up cloging up your way of thinking. You end up going against what works for you and you end up creating problems.

As a writer, learning to ingest code and then output code, has been like putting mud into my verbal flow. Rather than flow, I’ve experienced a bit of ebb. Rather than experience the subtle and intangible whispers of my soul, I’ve been quite insensitively laying down logical bricks of code. Rather than the refined and light caress of words and ideas under my breathe, I’ve been forcefully producing code, mentally hammering it into it’s functional and pragmatic place.

There is nothing so deadening for the soul than to consume something as a computer language. Perhaps finance, I wouldn’t know as I’m purely soul driven.

Anyway… I’ve been thinking lately, since I got into code, I started to neglect myself, I wasn’t listening to how I felt. And because of this dynamic, I ended up feeling incredible fomo, because I wasn’t producing anything from the soul, I wasn’t able to express myself clearly, and I was stuck in a numb wordless state, unable to put words on what I wanted. Though, I did become incredibly aware of what I wanted suddenly. All the things that money can buy, to fill the internal abyss which had been created due to lack of respect for my gifts and optimal ways of functionning.

I ended up wanting to travel, things that money can buy, things I didn’t have. All of this started to arise, because I wasn’t able to accept, embrace, or even value what I had and everything surrounding that. I was focussed on filling the mind with functional logic understanding. I wasn’t able to access any form of acceptance for the perfectly optimized life I already had.

You see, I’ve been a writer for a long time, my mind favours words [in the VAKOG I’m an audiory 1st, then visual, then kinesthetic]. but also, I’ve never had a thing for maths as a kid. I was always an ideas kind of person. I’ve always been hyper aware of my soul, and its fine expression. What I already knew before learning code, is that my life is taylor made for me, and everything I have at my disposition is perfect for my purpose in life. The parents I had/have, my interests, my friends, my awareness, my understanding, my mindset, my mental process’s, what lights me up, the gifts I’ve recieved, the things I’ve been proud about. Even my date of birth resonates with expression [21 = 3]. I’ve studied literature and philosophy, I’ve also studied law, I’ve been in sales, and in customer care, I’ve written a few books, and this blog for a while.

Looking back at my life, I wanted to understand what I could do, and if I could push my ability to expand a little. And I have expanded, and even grown, but there’s a fine line between growth and stress, once we step over growth and stumble into forced action, we’re no longer growing, we’re saturating to the point where we’re not able to recover the same.

So, as I said, I’ve been thinking.

Instead of functionning from a place of lack, from a place where we need something external as a compensation for our not paying attention to what we’re feeling. Instead, if we decide to focus on what we have, and what our gifts are, suddenly we access a degree of wealth no money can buy, and what’s more, we’ll do a far better job/work because we do what we love, so we’ll get recompensation for our ability.

When we function from the inside out, rather than the outside in, we fill ourselves up, we heal, we grow, we feel good. When we live from the outside in, striving for goals, wanting externalities, and so on, we’re in a state of lack, so we’re at a disadvantage. Instead, it’s important to see how what we do, what we have, and our purpose all align. When we look at our purpose and our gift, we realize we have abundantly more than we know what to do with.

I did say, I’d talk about the right way and the optimal way, so here goes.

As a man thinketh, so is he. But something is missing. I can’t simply cut out my emotional intelligence. My heart is my spiritual guidance. And if I am not attuned to how I feel, I will simply become beligerant with my words and actions, and by extension with those around me.

For better or for worse, my mind is a tool which serves my spirit. My spirit talks trhough my EQ and my mind serves my spirit. Not the other way around.

My spirit needs to be lit up, it needs to be inspired. My spirit is inspired by the fuel I feed my mind. Not the other way around; my soul is not fuel for results, results are output of my souls process.

My soul dictates the way, my mind is in service to that way. And my body is here to house my soul and mind for their journey. My emotions are indicators, like lights on a dashboard, to indicate whether I am hot or cold in “doing” my life purpose.

I am supposed to create, to write, to output, to express my soul. I am supposed to listen to my emotions, not make them scream at hyper intensity and take that out on my body through the need to “channel” my energy.

I am supported by angels for my mission. My words are translations of my subtle essence. I cannot force my body or soul, only my mind. So why let the mind think it can force the soul?

If we reverse what we normally do, what society has taught us, we may get a path that works, one that’s functional for us.

  • Instead of letting the mind use our soul and body, let the soul use the mind. Which will then empower the mind to empower the body, able to listen to it.
  • Listen to your emotions, they’re the guiding lights in your present moment to clarify if you’re on the right path.
  • Cherish your body as a temple for your soul.
  • Obey your soul.
  • Go at your own rythme.

Shut out the world, and the noise; and learn to accept your heart. As, you will find there the door to your soul.

How to Create the ultimate 5 – 10 people list of people you admire and aspire to be around.

“You know how they say
“the 5 people you spend your time with influences who you become” ?”

Hi! Welcome to my blog, I hope this post finds you well in this festive and comfortable season!

You know how they say “the 5 people you spend your time with influences who you become” ?
Well, we don’t always have the possibility to chose the people we want to have around us. Right?

Wrong!

Until recently, the idea that my fate would be tied to my location, the people around me (whether I like them or not, or even if I aspire to them or not…) as well as their minds, was something which created a specific amount of anxiety for me. Not that I fear the people around me or my circumstances, nothing could be further from the truth. Although, I am particularly picky about the time I spend, the attention I give and the subjects I want to devote my time to…
Though, the idea that my life is influenced by those around me and I have no control over those around me can produce a specific amount of worry. I really don’t want to pick up on certain habits, certain mind process’s or ways that don’t suit who I am developing myself to be.

On the one hand, picking people for your life is essential. In the doing we underline the examples we wish to copy. Like monkey’s we pick up on speech patterns, body language and other such subtleties which have made an impression on us because we have either liked the person or disliked them.

Csikszent Mihaly explains in his book Flow that “attention is our most important tool in the task of improving the quality of experience.“. And deciding who and what we give our attention to influences our lives in many subtle and important ways!

If you live in a town, going out and meeting someone specific to spend time with might be a bit of a challenge. Although not impossible, the chances are slim that the exact right people you need will be on your path with the same distinct reasons as you.

In fact, you’d probably waste more time and energy out and about than you would proactively getting done everything on your Important x Urgent list.

Pam Thomas a high end mindset coach describes the concept of energy leakage in his article https://thriveglobal.com/stories/are-you-leaking-energy/

“Depending on how we spend our $100 of energy itโ€™s possible to expend it in ways that create an energetic deficit. When we become energetically deficient we then have to borrow that energy from somewhereโ€ฆmaybe from our own cells (making us tired and susceptible to fear, self-doubt, etc.) or from someone else (making us needy or dependent).”. In understanding that we only have a finite amount of energy per day, it becomes very clear that the attention we have (i.e. 100$ of energy) is better invested in activities which give back to us, individuals who are going in the same direction, or in something with a good ROI. (Sport, Education, meditation, personal development, healthy food, clear uplifting thoughts etc…)

In a recent GQ article on neuroscience, Dr. Lisa Feldman Barrett explains that our minds don’t function the way we think they do. How do we think our minds work? And with such a a variety of answers, how do we go about our everyday lives? On first hand, I’d bet that most people believe that the mind is made for thinking, stocking information… and alternatively the others don’t really wonder what the brain does at all… Though Dr.Barrett’s findings changes our understanding of how it functions and ultimately leeds us to driving our vessels in a more responsable and even more careful way. The concept of allostasis was proposed by Sterling and Eyer in 1988 as a process of reestablishing stability in response to a challenge. Barrett explains that our mind is merely a regulator, a controller to sustain our survival. “Every action you take (or donโ€™t take) is an economic choice. Everything you think, feel, and do is a consequence of your brainโ€™s central mission to keep you alive and well by managing your body budget.

This being said, you’re probably thinking we’re incredibly off topic. We’re not.

Taking in to account that some people leave us depleted and tired after spending time with them.
Some even go as far as saying specific people are “Energy Vampires”, or “Narcissists“.
Though, lets stay on topic, I nearly lost you a few moments ago…
We’d rather leave conversations with people, feeling empowered, feeling confident and bold, ready to take on the world, right?

So how do we achieve that?

How do we find the people we aspire to?

How do we encounter those so-called people we admire?

And how on earth do we create our team of smart, high achieving, high energy people?

  1. It all starts with Self: We start by focussing on ourselves. Focussing on ourselves is the surest of ways to discover what we like, what we dislike, understand how we feel about this or that, as well as discover what we’re curious about. And this takes time, investment, and even going through the nitty gritty emotions. YIKES, I know you’re hating me right about now.. But it’s true. Going through our nitty gritty emotions by ourselves over and over again is how we grow and ultimately overcome them.
    Be patient with yourself!

  2. Procrastination: Having spent a vast amount of time on naval gazing, as you might put it. I’d like to invite you to reconsider your perception of Procrastination. It is there for a reason, so no pressure, embrace it and learn to invite it into your life.
I generally procrastinate when my energy is saturated, I’m tired or low energy, or I need to breath from the depths I immerse myself with complicated topics.

  3. FocusMate: Okay, this might perhaps be the most important part of this article. The tool which enables you, with the right perception, to network, to grow, to exchange, and also to stay where you are and save your energy for better things. You know, the productivity and creativity in pt.2 and the
well-being I’m about to express in pt.4? Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m talking about FocusMate.

Focusmate is an online Website/App which is meant to help you with your productivity and stay distraction free, focussed on your goals. Thats the primary reason we use Focusmate.
The secondary reason is not what it is programmed to do, but what is most beneficial to everyone you encounter. Smile, be Warm, be Yourself, and share. You might end up meeting some really interesting, upbeat people you’d never get the opportunity to encounter otherwise.

  4. Energy, energy, energy... Yes, we’ve talked about that a lot haven’t I?
You’ll need energy if you want to produce, work, focus on anything.
This means you’ll need good healthy food. This also means that you’ll need to channel the energy you do have into meaningful productive practices which give you an ROI. I’ll talk about this in my next article.

  5. Structure. Yes, in order to use everything I’m talking about and something you can rely on, you’ll need a structure a ‘goto’ reference which is tangible and malleable. For this, I use the good old Whiteboard, a written structured list compartmentalised and the help of some tools
I will add at the end of the article.

By using these 5 points, I get to meet high energy, ambitious people on a daily basis. I attract them because I am myself on that high level frequency (The exercises, The food help to develop the energy for this). And I’m able to do it often because I’m following a structure I created for myself which allows me to follow it even if I have no clue of what I’m doing that day or even feeling a bit hazy…

I thought I’d add some goodies:

Here are a Few Tools I like and use on a daily basis which get me to better focus, produce or simply keep track of what I’m doing or where I’m going.

Tools:

Create an Effective todo list: Learning how to create an effective todo list can prove invaluable. This article has been life changing in how it has effected my todo list creation. In that before I actually didn’t know how to create on effectively. I also added the notion of the Eisenhower Matrix in that I will only put what is urgent and important & important and not urgent.

https://www.notion.so/: So you need to go to the Office to have a physical layout of what needs to be done and what has been done? NO NEED! Notion is the perfect app for tracking and organising tasks, for business or simply for home. You can keep track of

https://habitshareapp.com/: You know how I talked about developing habits earlier on in the article, the concept that you can track your actions over the course of time and visualise your progress and
percentage of accuracy.

https://slack.com/: I’ve found that if you want to distribute a research, a message, and target a specific group of people, Slack is the best place to do so. Let me explain before you judge me as someone exploiting the indigenous tribes… While I was working on a startup in Fin-tech I needed to find a FullStack Developer capable of building the App. While I had no clue of how to grasp a developer, especially in the midst of a COVID lockdown, I got creative. Low and behold, I found 35 developers by targeting Digital Nomad slack communities in the space of 1 week! Need I say more?

https://discord.com/ People like to use this for gaming, because that is what it is originally used for.
Though, I use it for the TEAM to talk on in order to get work done without the hassle of planning call’s etc. Once everyone is subscribed, its fairly easy, everyone can have a reachable online office to do their work. And the messaging system is pretty simple.

https://www.focusmate.com/ Conceived as a studying platform, I figured out after a while that it could be a place to network and find likeminded people, according that you do it right and don’t overstep boundaries etc. People are generally open to discussing what they do, they’ll tell you about their goals at the start of every session and you can use it for training your elevator pitch for Work, Social, Partnerships, learning about new tools or insights, hek even relationships why don’t you. But really.. do it correctly, no one wants unwanted harassment in the privacy of their own home!

https://miro.com/: “The online collaborative whiteboard platform to
bring teams together, anytime, anywhere.” The Crema team explain the functioning of the app (in this video) pretty well and while is it still a collaborative online whiteboard, what you can do with it is nothing short of genius.

Finding a peaceful balance between what’s going on in the world and where you are inside of yourself

It is important to be in harmony between how we feel inside and how we are outside.
This isnโ€™t always possible, if so we must learn to love ourselves, and accept it from the inside out.ย

Hence why we strive for perfection. People will qualify us through how they see us first and foremost. Which is distressing for anyone who isn’t picture perfect in today’s society. How can we possibly keep up with the constant update of knowledge?trends, tips, articles, news outlets, podcast shows and live to be as great as everyone else? How can we like anything we are, when we consistently compare ourselves with “everyone else”?

We simply cannot keep up. We can’t, even if we wanted to keep up with everything that is happening on a daily basis all around the world. There are way too many people and events occurring.

It is then wise to go in the opposite direction and disregard everything and everyone.
It becomes essential, in order to focus on the one most important ingredient in the recipe known to date, to neglect anything and everything but ourselves, how we’re feeling, what we’re thinking, how we function etc. I’d say the COVID is a blessing, but I already lived like this pre-covid. It’s very much so a blessing for everyone else, whether they can see it or not.

The contrast of one’s objective and virtual presence, is an extension of self. It’s very easy for everyone to get caught up in the illusion that How we are seen by others, How we perform in video games, or media covered games, or any other sort of exposure through a screen. It simply isn’t Who we are, nor is it What we are. It is but an intention, a role we play well, a placement of our time and effort in projecting something for others to relate to.

Take it all away, and all you have is yourself. Have you ever tried sitting in the dark with one candle, with no screen, no book, no kindle or music or anything. Just you and the candle? I bet you’ll get a little anxious at a certain point. Truth is, at first it might seem uncomfortable, maybe even anxiety producing… But by staying with it, we get to experience ourselves, what we’re feeling, why we’re feeling that way and so on… A vital road, in taking time out for us.

In todays world we need to perfect our camera presence in order to feel confident with others.ย If we are critical of ourselves, we cannot feel confident entirely with others.ย Weโ€™ll often have illogicisms, and discrepancies we need to overcome.ย Looking at myself through the camera, I see my critical self come out and poke holes at what I am doing as well as how I am corresponding with myself, the camera, and others around.ย When speaking on camera, I discovered that I was highly self critical.ย The process of overcoming the camera’s perception, isn’t the camera, but how I’m seeing myself through the lens.ย

Have something to say, an exercise to follow. A guide-line and rules to follow in order to overcome and progress.ย Once we have the rules of the game, we can test, go through trial and error until we become perfect with the camera “in our own perception of perfect”. Above all, we see our flaws. They’re highlighted and in our face. They’re big and bright in contrast to what we’re normally aware of. When other people see us, they take it as a given “This dude has x, y or z… that’s just normal.” But what if, on that day the “Dude” in question had something which wasn’t normal to his everyday settings of normality?

New years resolutions

Is it not better to not make a new year observation? It’s a new decade!

Looking back over the years, we make new years resolutions every year, only to not keep them, or to find ourselves with gym memberships, hyper expensive gym equipment clogging up the front room or a years supply of weight watchers tasteless processed foods coming to your door week after week…

The point is, we don’t need to wait until a specific date to start doing something we know is good for us. Or anything for that matter. Waiting to start something.
And why do we have to wait until a New year to start something New, with our old habits still in place?

Isn’t it better to take our time, achieve the goals we already have and only when we have achieved the one’s we have can we set new ones?
Isn’t it better to take time to contemplate what we have achieved in the past year, and build on that instead of Starting anew? What was wrong with last years resolutions? – Aren’t you going to make pretty much the same this year?

Maybe not. Though, for many of us, the repetition of setting a goal, only to not go through with it until completion is probably worse than the having the ambitious goal in the first place.

Maybe we need to go about mastering the mindsets we already have, and build with our natural inclinations. Observe our essential state, what we respond best to, how long we take to recover from X and Y exercise, how long it takes for us to see a difference with such diet, or how we feel about what we want before setting out to get it.
So far, we’ve seen that it is not the possession of the objects that make us happy,
but in the striving for them. It’s the struggle to achieve such and such which grant us with the blessed results. It’s not the results. Once we have the results, we want more/better/different.

Maybe, we ought to search for ways of consistent change. Workouts that we live throughout our day to day lives. Like walking up flights of steps instead of elevators.
Using a bike to get a pint of milk instead of taking a car. Setting time aside for ourselves to reflect, reassess, resource ourselves, before the day or the next day comes.

Making lists of our negative traits, honestly, and asking for those around us to point out our negative traits in order to work on them more in depth.
Though, not forgetting to make Positive lists of what we are capable of, what we have achieved, and what we are to remind ourselves in our down times.

The idea of having a C.V. isn’t just great for work, its a reminder of what we have achieved academically, or what experience we have. Having the likes of a Modeling book, but for our accomplishments is a great way to keep us aligned with what we can do, while also giving us confidence and clarity that we can achieve it again during our times of self doubt.  Worst case scenario, you can create an instagram page -anyone can do this- and take a photo of your achievement each time, and post it. You don’t need to have a fancy following, nor do you need to follow anyone. This is for yourself. In fact, I’d advise to create a private page, where you can simply have an online reminder account of what you have achieved.

Another idea would be to have a timeline. Create a timeline from your birth, or from your conscious years and along side that have a bucket list. With your timeline, observe the big events which you are proud of, what you have achieved, your failures and moments of changing paths etc.. and with your bucket list, you can then strive towards ticking off each entry on the list and consciously placing each element on your timeline.
You can use “Trello” for this which is an easy organising system.

Did you know that Aboriginal tribes people don’t celebrate birthdays, nor do they celebrate the passing of time? They will celebrate a success, an evolution, passing a difficult point in one’s life… in other words, they celebrate what matters.

What do we do? We add another itemised  list of things to-do that we think we might need to accomplish in order to be happy. Then we sync our iCal and our Google notifications and spam ourselves with reminders to do more.

Maybe the secret remains in doing less. Coming back to our new years event, maybe we should take time out to contemplate what it is that isn’t working well for us, cut out what is holding us back, redefine what it is that we want, but most importantly take time to admire what we have accomplished this year.

Maybe it’s not all about achieving, but simply living. Do we need to achieve to feel content? In fact, that is what needs to be defined. What makes us feel fulfilled, isn’t necessarily about achievement, but meeting our needs and the needs of those around us with our basket of personal talents.

At this point in life, I want to be less hard on myself. This is about where I am in life. Not about what I want this year. In fact, life is more milestones and checkpoints, with inner confirmations and what feels right to us than it is about to-do lists, achievements, sixpacks and squats…
In fact, at this point I want functionality and efficiency. I’m not searching to be the best, nor am I searching to be better than anyone. Right now, my north star is having optimal health, being physically capable, having good relationships with others, listening to my body, my intuition, and how I feel. Having goals that show on the outside start from the inside. Since last October (2018), I’ve been planting some healthy seeds in my mind, reading interesting uplifting books, taking steps to get back to health, become aware of what I am doing that is affecting me, etc. and I’m taking my time about it.

I’m pretty much undisturbed by others at this point. I’ve cut myself off social media, hardly spend time on facebook (only for practical reasons like selling something, or a contact I don’t have on my phone…), I’ve deleted my instagram account, and I’ve started feeling better. No, actually I’ll correct that; I’ve started feeling great ! I’ve started going out again, I’ve started meeting people, going for bike-rides, setting goals outside…

By all means, clean out, make space for new things to come. Of course.
But, what I am saying is, accept what you have, be happy with it, and use it to get more of what you already have. Rejecting what you have/where you are won’t help you. It’s like shooting yourself in the foot because you don’t like your foot. Then you’ll be limping, might have to amputate your foot, and you’ll have a carbon foot instead which probably isn’t what you want. (Sorry if there are any amputees reading this, I mean no harm!)

This year,
Take a look at what you have done, instead of looking at what you want to do.
Take a look at where you are, compared to where you want to be.
Be grateful for what you have, instead of always wanting more.

  • Observe more.
  • Note down what you have accomplished so far, on your way to your North star (its an adventure!)
  • Define what has been working for you.
  • Define what isn’t working so far.
  • Redefine why we want certain things, instead of simply wanting them to please others.
  • Struggle well – Read Ray Dalio’s “Principles”
  • Efficient incorporated workouts in our day to day lives
  • Make a Bucket-list Timeline
  • Celebrate what matters over unconscious traditions
  • Have a North star to go towards, but don’t time it, go with the flow of life.
  • Do what is essential, healthy. Don’t force against the river, you’re not a salmon!
  • Have a break from social media – you deserve it after all these years of saturation!

It’s time for a change from everything we have been doing.
Time for a different approach. Maybe it is the new year after all… ๐Ÿ™‚
